Everton ace considering drastic action to force mega Chelsea move

The Londoners are currently in discussions with their Merseyside rivals regarding the burly Belgian, but with the Toffees refusing to move from a lofty £75m valuation of their key man, a potential deal is stalling.

Everton are on solid financial footing following investment from billionaire Iranian businessman Farhad Moshiri, meaning that, unlike in years gone by, they are not under pressure to take big offers.

With Chelsea reluctant to pay more than £67m, which would be a club-record fee, reports claim that Lukaku is pondering forcing his employers’ hand by requesting a move.

It’s understood that the 23-year-old has set his sights on a switch back to Stamford Bridge, despite being sold by the Pensioners in 2014.

Lukaku has been a big hit since his £28m move to Everton, notching 28 league goals.
