Carlos Tevez reveals Chelsea transfer interest - but insists he wants to retire at Boca Juniors
The Blues have joined Napoli in the pursuit of the former Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham striker but he insists he won't be leaving
Carlos Tevez has revealed that Chelsea are interested in signing him this summer.
But the former Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham striker says that he will not be returning to England - as he wants to retire at Boca Juniors.
Tevez returned to his boyhood club last year and has scored nine times in 17 games.
He started his career with Boca and took his career full circle after leaving Juventus to return home.
However, he is wanted back in Europe already and he has revealed both Chelsea and Napoli have been tracking his progress this summer.
But he says he will not be going anywhere.
"I feel really good at Boca,” he told Corriere dello Sport. “Better, my idea, my dream is to end my career in this sensational club.
"It's true, Napoli and Chelsea are following me but, I repeat, my will is to remain at Boca until I retire."
Earlier this summer, West Ham were pursuing the transfer of Tevez but he asked for a whopping £250,000-a-week deal to head back to London.
The Irons had offered the 32-year-old striker a club-record £150,000-a-week, plus bonuses, to return to the club.
Co-owner David Sullivan said: Sullivan said: “We tried to get Tevez but he wanted £250,000 a week. In his last year at Juventus he was great. But 250 grand a week?
“He’ll probably stay where he is now, but he doesn’t pay a lot of tax down there.”
