Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola to hold crunch talks with Juventus in bid to close £110m Manchester United move
Paul Pogba's agent will hold a meeting with Juventus on Tuesday as he tries to close the potential world record transfer to Manchester United.
Mino Raiola visited Pogba at his holiday base in Miami over the weekend but has returned and will look to clarify his client's future with the Italian champions as talks reach a crucial stage.
United have made an offer of £92million plus £10m in bonuses but Juventus want more plus the 20 per cent bonus due to Raiola and Pogba to be paid by United.
The France star continues to keep everybody guessing after posting a picture to Instagram from his holiday in Miami, featuring a cryptic caption which could be linked to his future, but the Italian club want £110million for the player and are not willing to compensate Raiola for brokering the deal.
That may well leave United with the daunting prospect of having to shell out the full £110m for the 23-year-old France midfielder - with Raiola's percentage on top.
United remain keen on bringing their old boy back to Old Trafford in what would be a world record fee for a player who left in 2012 for virtually nothing but they may have to add a further £18.4m to the fee for the agent and the player.
Pogba, the most in-demand midfield talent in the world, added more fuel the speculation surrounding him after writing 'we say it all by saying nothing at all #holidays' with his latest image posted on Instagram, alongside Raiola, on Monday
Juventus have agreed to buy Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli for £76million and will make a late claim to convince Pogba to stay.
However, they have identified replacements with Chelsea's Nemanja Matic, Axel Witsel of Zenit St Petersburg and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi on their list of targets.
Matic is open to leaving Chelsea and was anticipating a bid from Manchester United, but has enjoyed the early work with Antonio Conte who is happy for the Serbian to stay.
Roman Abramovich has also blocked Matic's departure until Chelsea sort out their own acquisitions first.
